Lettertrace

Lettertrace is an open-source AEO/GEO (Answer Engine Optimization) monitor. You add your brand, competitors, and topics; it auto-generates realistic prompt variations, runs them against Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, then tracks visibility, share of voice, prominence, and sentiment over time.

The tool is developer-first: you bring your own API keys, encrypted at rest, never leaving your infrastructure. The code is MIT licensed, self-hostable on Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Row-Level Security). The live site includes a Product Hunt badge and a detailed workflow description.

Lettertrace turns raw AI answers into the metrics AEO/GEO teams track. It's free end-to-end, with no paid tier, no seat price, no credit pack. The product is a response to the need for transparent, vendor-lock-free visibility tracking.
