Strip invisible watermarks from AI text and images, browser-based, with a local tool for C2PA/EXIF removal.
by yasir-mo
ScrubAI tackles two watermark problems: invisible characters (zero-width spaces, joiners, bidi controls, Unicode tag characters) and statistical watermarks (Kirchenbauer's KGW, SynthID-Text). The browser tool scans text for hidden characters and removes them losslessly, entirely on your machine. For statistical watermarks, it sends your text to a provider of your choice (using your key) to rewrite the prose.
The local tool also strips C2PA manifests, EXIF, XMP, and document properties from PNG, JPEG, WebP, SVG, PDF, DOCX, ODT, HTML, and Markdown. It ships a CLI, an HTTP service, and an agent skill.
The live page is a detailed explainer with interactive tabs. It's a forensic tool for researchers, journalists, and developers who need to verify or clean AI-generated content.
